• Backyard Meet & Greet

    Esther Kennedy has graciously opened her backyard to all the candidates that are running for city offices. This is an informal event that allows candidates and the residents of our city to have a conversation.  There will be homemade donuts and hot apple cider. All residents are welcome and please feel free to bring others.

    Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth is providing a City Council Candidate Forum.  The forum provides an opportunity to hear directly from City Council candidates.

    The forum is hosted under the auspices of the Portsmouth Public Library by the Citizens for Voter Education.  The forum will be held at the Eileen Dondero Foley City Council Chambers at City Hall, Portsmouth.

The format for the moderated event will be: 1. opening remarks by each candidate 2. a number of questions answered by each candidate in a randomly assigned order 3. closing remarks by each candidate
